Dear Torrance Council of PTAs members and community,

Welcome to a new school year! Our theme this year
is “REACH FOR THE STARS.” The “STARS”
represent our students and we are committed and
ready to “REACH” all students. We will partner with
TUSD to support the “Save Our Schools” (SOS)
campaign and we will volunteer in a time when
resources and help are needed. One of the purposes
of the PTA is “to develop between educators and the
general public such united efforts as will secure for
all children and youth the highest advantages.” We
live in a community that provides superior education
to all students and we will join forces to make sure
that we continue in this path.

Please “REACH” out and help in your school(s). We
have parents that volunteer and give to our schools
many hours and resources. Thank you for your
dedication and generosity. We also welcome you to
become members of our PTA. Our national
organization is dedicated to protecting the education
and welfare of all children. Your membership and
support empowers us to make the necessary actions
and deliver the messages to our representatives for
fair and equitable education.

Thank you and welcome to all the PTA presidents that have accepted to represent our 30 schools in Torrance. Please thank your families as well for their support. Your commitment and dedication is appreciated and we promise to provide you with the tools and mentorship to succeed as we “REACH FOR THE STARS.”
