Congratulations on passing Measure Y & Z.
 
Together as a TEAM we united for our children!

I am a proud to be a Torrance citizen and to have worked alongside so many wonderful people.
 
Thank you to all of the wonderful volunteers whom worked endlessly and tirelessly on the Measure Y & Z Campaign. In the phone bank alone we logged 1100+ volunteers with thousands more volunteers participating in hosting and attending fundraisers, rallying on the door steps of the TUSD School Board, Hands Across Torrance, delivering lawn signs, wearing buttons, making signs for cars and homes, students and parents sharing and handing out literature, emailing friends, knocking on doors, talking to neighbors and friends…
 
It is amazing what can happen when Parents, Teachers, Students, Administrators, TUSD School Board, PTAs, Booster Clubs, Torrance Education Foundation, Teachers Association, Youth Soccer, Youth Football and Cheerleading, Youth Baseball, Boys Scouts, Girls Scouts, Torrance City Council, Home Owner Associations, Friends, Families, Business Partners, Clubs and so many more, unite together for our children and their future.
 
Change is about to happen and we did it! As we begin the modernization of our schools, the community will be updated on the progress of both bonds through both the TUSD and the Torrance Council of PTAs web sites - www.TUSD.org and www.torrancecouncilofptas.org.
 
Both Bonds required 55% vote to pass. We surpassed that mark with Measure Y passing with 74% vote and Measure Z at 71%.
