We want to acknowledge we are aware of the incident involving a Torrance El student who has reportedly been detained. Like many of you, we are alarmed and deeply concerned.

We’ve been in contact with the school district, which shared that some information circulating may be incomplete or inaccurate. We are working to better understand the situation.

 

We know emotions are high—we’re angry, alarmed and feel an urgent need to act. But we also know we must move with care and due diligence.
