Kwame Alexander and Jerry Craft - J vs. K Book Presentation

See real-life rivals and #1 New York Times bestselling authors Kwame Alexander and Jerry Craft at the Katy Geissert Civic Center Library! They’re going to discuss their latest book, J vs. K. This hilarious illustrated story features two talented fifth graders going head-to-head in a competition for the ages.
Come hear these Newbery medal winners Kwame Alexander (The Crossover) and Jerry Craft (New Kid) celebrate comics, creativity, and the magic of collaboration. Both authors will also take audience questions, and a book signing will follow the event. Books are available through Pages bookstore - see here. Seating is limited.

EARTH DAY TEACH-IN

2026 TORRANCE ROSE PARADE FLOAT
The Torrance Rose Float Association is very excited about this year’s Float Design Contest which is open to High School Students that live in the City of Torrance. The contest is in progress and runs through January 20, 2025. We are looking forward to seeing all the students' entries.
